He's Here!! Merek Atticus Logan

Sorry we are just posting this now.  I haven't been on the computer in a while.  I spend all my spare time sleeping if possible.

Merek Atticus Logan was born on 7/11/09 at 6:39 am.  He weighed 7 lb 11 oz and was 20 inches tall.   This labor was very short, just over 2 hours, but was still miserable to go through. However, it was totally worth it, as always, and we are very excited to have our son join the family.

Darby loves him to pieces and hasn't taken any aggression from lack of attention out on him at all.  We're still trying to figure out the "2 kid" balance.  Millions of people have done it, like most of you, so we know it's possible.  It's just a transition we are getting used to.

Kids say the darndest things

Darby is two now!!! She is so big and cute, and quite the parrot. Her latest word and phrase that she loves to say is "Don't touch...leave it alone" and if you start to tickle her or do something she doesn't want, she will put her hand up in front of you and yell "ENOUGH". I didn't think I said those things very often, but apparently they have rubbed off. We better be careful what we say or we could be in BIG trouble.

Get a job already!

We start them young in this house! She's so cute and loves to help mom and dad do anything we let her. She's going to be a great big sister!

Expecting again!

Sorry that I didn't get out any Christmas cards or anything this year. Matt and I are expecting our second child in July and this first trimester has been really rough. Hopefully that I'm in the second trimester now, I'll have some better luck. No news yet on if it's a boy or girl, but yes, we are going to find out. We're too poor not too, and either way it's a surprise. Just a few months earlier is all. I know it can be done as many of you are doing or have done, but it's hard to imagine having to be a mom to 2 kids! As overwhelming as it may seem, I'm sure that it will be fine and hopefully come naturally. I'm sure Darby will be a great big sister and hopefully help mom out by not being a horrible two year old. Well, I can dream right? Anyways, I hope everyone's holidays were great and I wish everyone joy in the new year.
